My level of commitment to this blog

Man, I'm so into my new blog that it's safe to say it will take priority over everything else in my life. I used to think blogs were the worst, but I just didn't understand them. I thought they had to be all political and contrived. I didn't realize they could also just be a waste of time that everyone but me thinks is stupid. That's why I'm typing this at 11:20 PM and not getting ready for bed. I also commit to having a picture for every post. I chose this baby circa 2004, not just because there is a meerkat in the background, and not because I'm doing Danny's patented retarded picture smile, but because it was taken before my lucky green #7 shirt got all beat up. That shirt has been good to me and it's nice to see it sans bleach spots.  Also, if you have a blog, let me know. I need more of the proverbial "homies". Plus, check back soon for my all new blog feature, the daily spotlight. It probably won't really be daily, but it will be a spotlight of one of the greater people I know. If I had kids who had recitals or a life that consisted of more than work and school, I wouldn't have to resort to the daily spotlight. But it is what it is.
