What a Christmas!

I haven't done a blog in a while so here goes nothing. But like the title says, "What a Christmas!" There is no better way to celebrate the birth of Jesus than to get 5 days off work. Speaking of which, Danny and I where wondering last week if the wise man who brought the gold was mad because he spent more than the other two. I'm sure that's already a joke, but I don't care.

I don't have any real pictures of Christmas...my family stopped taking pictures after the Disneyland trip of 1987. There might be a couple from missionary homecomings, but I don't know if we ever got them developed. At my funeral there will pretty much be a slideshow of my 5th birthday, Disneyland, and then pictures me and Brian took with our shirts off when we were in good shape. If I ever get married, that's ALL my slideshow is going to be baby!

Christmas for me doesn't start until me, Anderson, and the gang hit Rodizios at around noon on Christmas Eve. It's the only tradition I've ever held to in my life. 9 years and running. You can count on it. I probably shouldn't say this, but if you are somebody who wants to beat me up but can't find me, just go to Trolley Square at around 1:30 on December 24. You wouldn't only find me for sure, but I'd be way to full to fight you. Anyways...the portions were out of this world! I had no idea they could slice off such an entree sized piece and not get fired. It was incredible. Top 3 trips ever. And yesterday combined with the Chris Cornell experience DEFINITELY cemented Rodizio's place far FAR above the Braza Grill. It's always good to see Anderson. And by always, I mean half the time.

Christmas Eve night me and the brothers played a little guitar hero and then sat in the hot tub with Kev. We witnessed yet another Christmas miracle as it snowed. I then played a Christmas Eve game of Texas Hold 'em online and went to sleep. This isn't my actual game, but you can imagine if it was. My internet connection isn't reliable enough to be playing cash games...

In the morning, we went over to my parents house and opened presents. I got some pretty awesome stuff including an e-bow. I have always wanted an e-bow and guitar center never sells them. But behold, now I have one. For years it has bothered me that people say "it's better to give than receive". You can always tell a saying is a lie when you have to make up a saying for it. If it really was better, everyone would know it and you wouldn't have to go through the trouble of mentioning it. You would never hear the saying "it's better to be healthy than sick" because it's obvious. I guess I just don't like to be lied to in sayings. This is an e-bow...it works like an electric bow for your guitar. Sorry Casey, thats not a very good explanation.

Then, on Christmas night, we went and saw the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Danny kept singing the title of the movie in an opera voice and it was hilarious. At one point, uncle Dave came in and Danny sang it to him...so of course Dave had nothing to do but pretend to choke him. Spoiler alert!...why did Benjamin Button turn back into a baby when he was born a tiny old man. If that was the case, he should have been born a normal sized old man! FAKE!

The rest of the Christmas break was pretty forgetable. We played a lot of Hot Shots golf on the PS3 and I slept in every day. Also, I watched Snatch 2 and a half times. I love that movie. I give this Christmas a solid 7 of 10.

Wait, I just remembered I took a picture of the top sirloin....look at that sucker!

Again, I laughed out loud, which is a problem I have with your blog... Not that it's bad to laugh at hilarious stuff, but I always check it when I'm supposed to be working and its just proof that I ain't. I pretend to be concentrating on some sort of difficult task and then I just bust out laughing. This was a good Christmas and a funny one too! How about how you told me to just "tread boldly" when I didn't want to walk through the snow. HAHAHAHA! Oh, and how can I forget one of the best things of all - the ball shaped coke bottles! Delicious.

Danny's Benjamin Button song followed up by him trying to sing opera Christmas songs for the entire extended family was very memorable. Ples, who can forget Christmas Adam?

Seriously, your blog cracks me up. When you mention all the funny things you and your brothers do I can't help but crack up. I guess it's because I can just picture them doing it! All in all, it sounds like your solid 7 holiday was great!
